We, the undersigned, call on Wokingham Borough Council, in particular the Conservative majority to reconsider the amount of funding given to schools in the Wokingham Local Education Authority due to the current lack of funding available for essential building work.

The Holt School has recently published its current building state on its website and whilst money has been granted, not enough has been granted to carry out all repairs. The Emmbrook School also, has recently been granted money to carry out essential repairs, yet we feel that Wokingham Borough Council could be doing more to help the schools in the area before prospective students are taken elsewhere.

Wokingham schools have some of the best results in the United Kingdom, it is a great shame therefore to see students work in cramped, dilapidated, rotting conditions.
