I/we the undersigned call upon the planning committee on North West Leicestershire District Council to grant ASDA planning permission for its Store in Coalville.

Government guidelines state that planning applications should be dealt with, within 6-8 weeks.

This application has been dragging on for over 18 months and could be subject to an appeal at the cost to the local tax payer.

The councils handling of the whole affair is fast becoming a total farce, and must be sorted as soon as possible to avoid ASDA taking their business investment elsewhere, and taking much needed jobs to a near by local Authority who could look more positively on their application?

If this happens then it will be a travesty for the people of Coalville.
