St Mary Magdalene Church Gardens is a beautiful space.  But increasingly residents have felt they bare not safe to use the area.  This was not helped by a recent assault in the area.  This petition is intended to push on all who are working in the area to take action before the problem gets out of control, to enable our residents to reclaim use of their local space again.
We the undersigned, ask for urgent action to be taken on St Mary's Magdalene Church Gardens to make it safer and to increase residents confidence in using the area.  We ask the police and criminal justice agencies to ensure that all those commiting crime in the area are quickly brought to justice.  We ask the council to invest in the area, making environmental changes to improve safety for local people.
