GREAT NEWS! The review of specialist children's health services across Scotland does not reccommend that services at Edinburgh Sick Kidsshould be downgraded. Thank you to everyone who signed our petition online.
However, Fred Mackintosh and Mike Pringle believe that the campaign should not stop here. A dedicated, modern site is needed for the Sick Kids in order that it can continue its high levels of care and service. A site has already been identified next to the Edinburgh Royal informary (ERI) at Little France.
P lease continue to support our petition to get our children's health services the facilities they need here in Edinburgh.
I/we welcome the move not to downgrade services at the Sick Kids hospital. However, I/we call on the SNP GOvernment to move the Sick Kids to a modern, dedicated site at Little France.

Pringle and Mackintosh Issue Sick Kids Warning -
Having welcomed the recent Government Neurology Report that recommends neurological services are retained at the Sick Kids Mike Pringle, MSP for Edinburgh South, and Fred Mackintosh, Liberal Democrat Westminster Spokesperson for Edinburgh South, have issued a warning to Edinburgh residents and the Government over Cancer care services, calling for confirmation that they will also be retained.
Fred Mackintosh said
"Although the fact that the experts recommend that neurological services are retained in Edinburgh is obviously welcome news there has been no definitive word yet over cancer care services.
"As the two fields are so closely linked it is vital that cancer services are also retained at the Sick Kids.
"Until we have word from the Government nothing can be taken for granted."
Mike Pringle MSP said
"I strongly encourage Edinburgh residents to keep up the pressure on the Government for the retention of all the Sick Kids current services.
"We cannot afford to gamble where childrens lives are concerened, it is vital that the Government gets this right!"
