Are you satisfied with the condition of Streatham High Road/Streatham Hill?

For many people a visit to our high street is not something they look forward to. There’s often rubbish on the streets and the area often looks run down and uncared for!
Chris Nicholson and the  Streatham Liberal Democrats have come up with a rescue plan for the High Road, and we’re urging Lambeth Council to stop the delays and implement it.

The plan involves:

  1. New landmark developments at the old Safeway site by Streatham station and at the Caesars/Megabowl site on Streatham Hill – including the return of a Department store to Streatham
  2. A new dedicated High Road police team
  3. A deep clean of the High Road and then regular, sustained cleaning
  4. Removal of the central barriers and completion of plans to improve the ‘streetscape’ of the High Road
  5. More support to independent, local businesses on the High Road

We would like to know what you think of the plan, especially if you have any more ideas on how to improve the condition of Streatham High Road. To do this please take our survey here

The more opinion we can gather on this, the louder our voice will be to get Lambeth Council and Transport for London to take notice of our neglected high street!
