The Labour Government is forcing the closure of post offices across Britain. Salisbury Road Post Office is earmarked for closure.  Under new guidance released by the Post Office Councils can work with the Post Office and community groups to take over the running of threatened Post Offices. Saving a post office under the guidance does not threaten the existence of another post office.  Liberal Democrat Rochdale is saving all its Post Offices this way. Sadly Dorset's Conservative County Council has refused even to investigate this option.  Therefore this petition is to both the Post Office and to the Conservative Council both of whom have it in their power to save the Salisbury Road Post office.
