The Holywell Mead Outdoor Swimming Pool is situated at the eastern end of the most well known open space in High Wycombe -The Rye, and close to Bassetsbury Manor.
The swimming pool, built to a 1930's design, opened on 1st June 1957 in the days of the Borough of High Wycombe. It was the only swimming facility in the town until Wycombe Sports Centre was opened in 1975.
This facility has proved extremely popular with residents over the years and families continue to enjoy the pool during the summer months.

We, the undersigned, are opposed to the closure of Holywell Mead Open Air Swimming Pool believing it to be a valuable community facility that brings wide social and health benefits to us all. We call on Wycombe District Council to stop the closure of Holywell Mead Open Air Swimming Pool and instead work with local residents to secure a viable future for the pool.
