Caroline Pidgeon and Chris Nicholson outside Streatham Police Station
Caroline Pidgeon and Chris Nicholson outside Streatham Police Station
Streatham High Road Police Station and Cavendish Road Police Station are to be closed if a new "estate" policing strategy is implemented.

There will be no like for like replacements for the lost police stations. This will leave both Streatham and Clapham without proper police stations.

Instead Lambeth Police are proposing counter services in these areas. But the Police have refused to guarantee that they will be operated by police officers.

Lib Dem campaigners Caroline Pidgeon and Chris Nicholson are opposing these closures. They want to keep our police stations open, and are calling for Lambeth Police to clarify their plans and meet with local residents to discuss them.

To help us keep our police stations on Streatham High Road and Cavendish Road, please sign the petition below.

We oppose the plan to close and sell off Streatham and Cavendish Road Police Stations. Our area needs a proper Police Station - not just a complaints desk with limited opening hours.
