As an elector in the parliamentary constituency of Gosport, I am appalled to hear of the £30,000 expenses claims by our Conservative MP for gardening and a duck house. I believe our Member of Parliament Sir Peter Viggers should resign his seat immediately and not wait until the nextGeneral Election.

MP wants to stay on and earn a £32,000 'bonus'

Sir Peter Viggers MP, who claimed taxpayers' cash for a floating duck island, will get a £32,000 pay-off if he waits until the General Election before standing down...to help him 'adjust to life outside parliament.' He will also continue to be paid his wages and expenses in FULL until election day.

Mr Viggers claimed more than £30,000 in 'gardening expenses'. His list of expenses to help him do his job as an MP include a claim for nearly £500 for 28 tons of manure and £213 to pay an electrician to fix lights on a fountain and hang some Christmas tree lights.
