Lewisham has one of the lowest recycling rates in the country AND it’s falling.  Local Liberal Democrats have been calling on the Council to collect a wider range of plastic for recycling rather than just bottles.

Lots of councils collect an assortment of plastics such as food trays as well as cartons like Tetrapaks.  So far, Lewisham has rejected our calls for action.

As well as signing our petition, please invite your friends and family to do the same.

We, the undersigned Lewisham residents call on the Council to extend doorstep recycling to include more plastic containers such as foodtrays as well as other packaging such as tetrapaks.
