KITTY USSHER has resigned as a minister after just ten days because of a scandal over her tax avoidance. She says she will step down as an MP at the next election for "family reasons".

THE PEOPLE OF BURNLEY DEMAND THAT SHE GO NOW!

We want an immediate by-election so that we can choose to be represented by someone else!

We the undersigned call on Kitty Ussher, MP for Burnley to resign now.

If her conduct in "flipping" the designation of her second home to avoid Capital Gains Tax makes her unsuitable to be a Minister, it also makes her unsuitable to continue as an MP.

By continuing as an MP until the General Election she will be entitled to a Resettlement Grant of between 50 and 100% of her Parliamentary salary.  We do not believe that someone who is leaving elected office under a cloud of this nature should be entitled to such a pay-off.
