Royal Mail is planning to move or close delivery and sorting offices in Haringey where local people can collect their parcels.
Lynne Featherstone MP and Haringey Liberal Democrats are fighting to keep these services local.
Currently, Highgate residents can collect undelivered parcels and items at the Archway Road Post Office for free.
Under Royal Mail’s new plans, this collection service may be lost, meaning residents would have to travel all the way to an industrial estate near Tufnell Park – or alternatively pay a £1.50 charge per item – to pick up undelivered parcels and recorded post from Archway Road.
We, the undersigned, call on Royal Mail to retain our free collection point at Archway Road Post Office.
