We the undersigned believe that Labour controlled Haringey Council should reconsider their plans to introduce fortnightly collections and take advantage of funding from the coalition government to enable local residents to keep their weekly bin rounds.

We are very concerned that Haringey Council has failed to consult
local residents about their plans to introduce fortnightly collections for non-recyclable rubbish from 2012.

Recently we conducted a survey of local residents which showed that, out of 1,110 responses, 86% of local people are against the introduction of fortnightly rubbish collections.

Liberal Democrats think the Council should take note of what local residents are saying. That is why we have launched this petition.
