Southwark Liberal Democrats have launched a campaign to prevent cuts to our local heath service.
Labour Ministers have told local hospitals and health trusts that they will have to cut back on services to you. All because Labour have mismanaged to NHS so badly.
Here this means that essential social and mental health services face the axe - alongside £8 million cuts to Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital Trust.
"Costly Labour schemes like PFI and central target setting have brought this on local people" said Lib Dem Councillor and Exec Member for Health, Denise Capstick "If this is, as Labour Minister, Patricia Hewitt, said 'The best year for the NHS' I dread to think what it will be like in the years to come."
The Lib Dems have launched a campaign against the cuts. Sign the petition below to show your support, urging Patricia Hewitt to stop the cutbacks.
I, the undersigned, urge Patricia Hewitt, Secretary of State for Health, to halt the proposed £20 million cuts to our local health services, and to stop unfairly penalising our efficient NHS trust to make up for the shortfalls in other London Primary Care Trusts
