Save OUR Town Centre

We the undersigned oppose the development of the Grovehill Retail Park on the outskirts of Beverley because:

a) it will damage small traders in Beverley town centre by driving custom out of town;

b) it will cause traffic chaos in the Beverley; and

d) the restriction of which goods can be sold on the site is unenforceable.

"The development will not only damage small traders in the town centre by driving custom out of town but it will cause traffic chaos in the town as it is used as a ratrun to the site."

"The council is clearly in cloud cuckooland if it thinks it would be able to restrict the type of goods to be sold in the retail park.
"How much is it going to cost to police any agreement? How much will the council waste on lawyers if stores breached the conditions?"

"Councillors who backed this plan should be ashamed of themselves."
