Greener Chelmsford is a campaign petition and a list of links and ideas to make our town more sustainable. Your suggested links and ideas are very welcome. Please back the campaign.

The environment in mid-Essex is under threat as never before - new houses, delayed recycling plans, road schemes, air pollution, Stansted expansion; maybe nuclear power stations and waste incineration. If we don't cut global warming, the ice caps melt and Essex is under water!

What can you do to make a Green Chelmsford?

1. Sign the petition here to make Chelmsford a greener town.

2. Email us your ideas and website links you would like listed here.

3. Pledge to act greener at home - on the Environment agency website and see the list of ideas at the bottom of the page.

For details on the policies listed below, see the green policies page on the Chelmsford Lib Dem website.

What will you do to help protect the environment?
Greener Chelmsford is run by Chelmsford Liberal Democrats but welcomes comments from all local residents.
The Lib Dems are the real green party in Chelmsford. See link.
