Financial Education in Schools

This campaign was formed in the corridors and crash of Liberal Youth Conference, where the next generation of Liberal Democrats debated the pressing issues that mattered to them.

The idea – making financial education compulsory in schools. It's clearly a great idea; and not one that has gone unnoticed. Martin Lewis from Money Saving Expert started a petition on the issue, which is now set to be debated in Parliament next Thursday after more than 100,000 people signed.

So what is this page all about?

Well, we agree that financial education should be an integral part of a young person's life. Learning about tax, budgets, bank accounts and all other things beside is vital, but currently too many young people hit the world of work with little or no understanding of financial matters. They are being let down by our education system and it needs to change.
