Support our campaign to replace the unfair Conservative council tax with a tax based on people's ability to pay.
The Liberal Democrats plan to axe the unfair council tax and replace it with a tax which reflects peoples' ability to pay.

Council tax is based on the value of your home and takes no account of a person's income and their ability to pay.

As a result, people with less pay a greater share of their resources than those with more.

In fact the poorest 20% of households pay three times as much, as a proportion of their income, as the richest 20%.

Dan Rogerson MP is campaigning to axe the council tax and replace it with a fairer system. Add your voice to the campaign by signing our petition.
We the undersigned support the Liberal Democrat campaign to axe the tax. The Council Tax is an unfair tax, based simply on outdated valuations of property. It should be scrapped and replaced with a system based on people's ability to pay.
