We, the undersigned, support Gail Coleshill and the Lib Dem’s campaign to cut the basic rate of income tax from 20% to 16%.

Lasting tax cuts are needed during these difficult financial times, not temporary VAT cuts by the Government.

The Lib Dems alternative taxation plans will reduce the basic rate of income tax by 4p, benefiting low and middle-income earners who are finding it increasingly difficult to put food on the table and pay rising fuel bills.
