Update:
Thank you to the massive, growing number of supporters for our campaign.

In response to resident and councillor pressure, last week the council launched a consultation over the pool’s future.
We urge residents who have signed up to our growing campaign in droves, to attend the meeting and have their say on the closure.

The council have already committed to closing the pool, way back in 2004. Now, they are looking to press ahead with the plan, unless a private bid for running the pool can be successful.

The Tyldesley Pool Public Meeting will take place on
Tuesday 19 July at 6.30pm
at
Tyldesley Rugby Club, St. Georges Park, Astley Street, Tyldesley.

In the meantime, please continue to spread the word about our campaign.

I call on Wigan Council to stop the planned closure of Tyldesley Pool and to maintain the facility to meet the growing needs of the Tyldesley area.

Further, I strongly disagree with Wigan Council claims that there is no demand for a local leisure facility in Tyldesley and to urgently consult with residents over expanding its use.
