I/we the undersigned petition the General Manager, First Bus to restore the no 40 Bus service in the Great Baddow/Chelmsford area in the daytime.  The sudden discontinuation of the bus service on April 4th from 9am to 3.30pm causes hardship in the Noakes Avenue, Bells Chase, Pertwee Drive and adjacent roads.  It becomes very difficult for elderly people and carers of young children to reach the doctors surgery in Longmead Avenue and the Vineyards shopping area.  Other bus services can only be accessed with a walk of up to mile and go to central Chelmsford.
